450g minced beef
1 onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, crushed
400g tin chopped tomatoes
125ml beef stock
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tblsp tomato purée
½ tsp salt
400g tin red kidney beans or 400g tin baked beans
Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the onion, minced beef and garlic and fry until lightly brown.
Add the tomatoes, stock, salt, chilli powder and tomato purée. Mix and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add the kidney beans or baked beans and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Add a little extra chilli powder for a spicier dish.
Serve with rice or a jacket potato.
