Ingredients
swiss roll (sliced)
double cream (whipped)
tin of fruit depending on flavour of swiss roll
hundreds and thousands or chocolate strands
wee dram of alcohol!
Method
If using a raspberry swiss roll use raspberries, or if using a chocolate swiss roll use cherries.
Line the bottom of a bowl with a few slices of swiss roll, drizzle with alcohol of your choice (sherry is good), a layer of fruit next, then more swiss roll and then more fruit.
Top off with whipped double cream and sprinkle with hundreds and thousands or chocolate strands depending on which type of swiss roll you used.
This is also nice done with a sliced ginger cake, soaked in cointreau, use mandarins as your fruit and top off as before!
